¬ Ze’ev Kolman’s Message.
As this year ends
and a New Year is soon to begin…many of us struggle to understand our life
and our world. We question: “Where am I? Where am I
going?” Not only because we live during times of extreme change, but
because it may be to our advantage to accept this period as an
opportunity…a time to reflect on resolutions we want, or need to make for
changing and improving our own life and our own health.
Change begins
with self…one thought, one step, one action starts the process. It
takes positive energy, sometimes courage to break an old, ingrained,
harmful habit or to try something delightfully new. It may not be
easy; the road can be slow. With deep conviction and appropriate
intentions it will be worth the success of doing something new, or
altering a harmful thought that races to control deleterious
actions.
Start with a short list. One item will do!
Examples that may improve your life/health: reduce food portions; drink
one less cup of coffee or glass of wine; do one good deed per day or week;
save a dollar a day for something special; let your last and first thought
be an uplifting universal prayer. A resolution made during the first
week of a new moon can give added energy, and renewing it every new moon
might offer long-term success. December’s new moon begins on the
23rd, and January’s on the 21st.
Search for the good points…the
miracles in your life; let them teach you; have an open mind; keeping a
diary is a good thing too. Live fully one day at a time…laugh, sing
and rejoice as the path eases with every accomplishment achieved, and
acknowledged with gratitude and appreciation of self, of body, of mind and
of spirit. Change is a team effort that touches, embraces and
employs every level of our existence.
May peace, joy and the true meaning of life and love be with
you throughout 2004!
