Masahiro Kahata - IBVA inventor & Head of Psychiclub (USA)



Masahiro has figured in the many technological innovations flowing out of Japan since the 1970s. During the 1970s he also began Psychic Labs, Inc., to conduct research on psychic phenomena, which led to his later development of EEG-brain wave technology. From 1984 through 1987, Masahiro served as Chief Lab Researcher for Japan's leading computer corporation, ASCII. Here he performed research on human interface design for a new computer system, which led to his development of what would become the Interactive Brainwave Visual Analyser (IBVA) technology. In 1986 he worked for one of Sony’s founding fathers special Hi-Tech Psychic Laboratories, gauging future earthquake/seismic activity in Japan (ESPER - Extra-sensory Perception & Excitation Research Labs). In 1987, he left the Japanese Hi-Tech Industry to work full-time on the IBVA, and moved to the USA where the IBVA brainwave technology began to ship in 1991. It attracted much media interest and publicity, winning a product award at the prestigious MacWorld Convention in New York in 1998.
